We carefully craft our ganaches and fillings using only the ingredients needed to create the perfect balance of texture, flavour, and stability. With a focus on fresh Scottish ingredients, including our delicious Scottish cream and butter, we ensure these exceptional flavours remain at the heart of every chocolate you enjoy.
Each recipe is unique, with shelf life ranging from a minimum of 6 weeks for our freshest ganaches all the way to 1 year for caramel based products. Every package is marked with a best-before date, giving you plenty of time to enjoy your chocolates at their finest.
We recommend enjoying them sooner rather than later to experience the fresh flavours and textures at their best.

We use carefully selected Belgian chocolate from Callebaut, one of the world’s leading chocolate makers with a long heritage of chocolate craftsmanship.
We choose Callebaut for their commitment to quality, traceability, and more sustainable cocoa sourcing. Through initiatives that support cocoa farmers, responsible farming practices, and the future of cocoa-growing communities, they work to create a more sustainable chocolate industry.
Callebaut offers a wide range of chocolate couvertures, from intense dark chocolates with rich cocoa profiles to smooth milk and white chocolates, allowing us to carefully select the perfect balance of flavour, texture, and cocoa content for each of our products.

Couverture chocolate is a premium chocolate used by professional chocolatiers and pastry chefs. Unlike many standard chocolate bars, it is made with a higher proportion of cocoa butter and carefully selected cocoa ingredients, creating a smoother texture, better shine, and a more refined finish.

Yes, it is! Our boxes are made of food-safe cardboard, we use recyclable PET inserts that keep your chocolates safe and secure in our boxes and finally our cushion pads are plastic free, recyclable, and biodegradable!
Some products may have a clear rigid plastic lid as opposed to a cardboard lid. These are made from rPET, which means that they are crafted from Prevented Ocean Plastic (POP), and are a certified recycled plastic that has been collected from coastal areas at risk of ocean plastic pollution - understandably, this is a very important cause to us here at North Coast Chocolate Company!
We kindly ask our wonderful customers to think of the environment once you've enjoyed your chocolates. By recycling our packaging, you're helping us reduce waste and make our business as sustainable as possible. Every small action makes a difference, and together we can help protect our community and our beautiful planet for future generations. Thank you for being part of our journey towards a greener future. -

We recommend that you store your chocolates in a slightly cooler environment (14-18 degrees) and preferably in a dark cupboard.
We do not recommend that you store our fresh products in the fridge as this will change the silky texture of the ganache. They are still delicious chilled - but they won’t be as good as they would be at room temperature!
-
Not only are your chocolates important to you, but they are extremely important to us! For this reason, we take the utmost care when packaging our products to ensure that they reach you in the same condition that they left our kitchen
If your chocolates are damaged, please get in touch via email with photographic evidence of the damage to the chocolate and the packaging and we will be happy to resolve the issue.
Please note that we may ask you to return your damaged product.

We are a small family-run company and every single one of our chocolates are decorated by hand and made in small batches. The design on your chocolate may vary ever so slightly to our photos for this reason, but they will still have the same great taste!
